Our (soon to be) New House

Here are some pictures of our soon to be new house.  We put in the offer early yesterday afternoon (7/27/08) and the buyer accepted later that same day.  I'm not showing pictures we took of the inside of the garage or laundry room, and unfortunately Jeffrey didn't get one of the other half of the living room-dining room combination, but most of the rest of it is here.  For a larger view, just click on the thumbnail.  All furnishings belong to the current owners.  Once the deal is finalized, we will have our own stuff in there, naturally.  And the colors in most of the rooms definitely needs to be changed.

WARNING:  If you are on dial-up, some of the pictures may take a while to load, as I haven't trimmed them down too much yet.

This is the front of the house viewed from the street.  That ugly blue color has got to go.  That's our realtor walking up to the front door to open it up.

This is a side view of the front yard from just inside the gate.  Nice. This is looking down the side of the house.  We like the arbor-like gateway. This is the front porch and the wicker furniture they have. This is the front yard looking out from the front door.
This is the dining room side of the great room. This is one side of the double fireplace, open to the living room/dining room combo.  The other side is facing the kitchen/family room. This is the view out the French doors off of the dining room. This is the kitchen. This is the kitchen from the other side.  You can see the other side of the double fireplace in this one.
This is the family room, adjacent to the kitchen, but separate from the living/dining  room. Another view of the family room. This is one of the bedrooms. Most of the bedrooms don't have doors on the closets.  We'll fix that after we move in. This is another bedroom. Yet another bedroom.
This is the main bathroom. This is the walk-in closet in the master bedroom. This is the master bath. This is the back door patio area.  No shot of the built-in bar, but it's off to the left. This is the upper terrace of the back yard looking from the back door.  That's an apple tree in the background.

This is the long driveway you reach from the alley behind the house.  You can see some of the lower terrace of the back yard.  That's me and our realtor walking down the driveway.   This is the two-car garage at the end of long driveway, along with a huge storage shed.   This is me opening the door to the storage shed on the other side of the back yard.
